Yesterday my beloved Latinamerica, and so our global village, lost one of the most beautiful and powerfull voices.
Mercedes Sosa (La Negra) was born argentinian, but she was a true citizen of the world. She was not just a very important figure of the music, but also one of the greatest icons for every single human being wishing for justice, freedom, peace.
As I've seen along this day, she has been mouned not just in our Latinamerican countries, but worldwide. And as I've seen, and as I feel, the grief for her passing is deep; I sense a feeling of orphans among latinamericans right now.
Thank you so much Negra, for all you gave, for all you changed, for having done more than enough. You'll be missed.
